As a family outing, we travelled to Newry via the coast road from Portaferry, through Newcastle and onwards to Greencastle (Co. Down) and landed in Greenore (Co. Louth) via the Carlingford Lough ferry. Visited Newry and returned home via same route. Thumbs up from family as scenery impressive !

Today sees the final closing of the existing SPAR shop in High Street, Portaferry. By November 2019, a new EUROSPAR shall be opened, taking in a number of adjacent buildings also. Wish the Henderson Group well with their scheme which shall aim to rejuvenate a key area of Portaferry.
